Jayden Lamcellari
Cellist
Jayden Lamcellari is an Albanian/Irish cellist currently studying with Professor Christoph Richter at the Royal Academy of Music after being awarded a full scholarship.
Jayden has previously studied with Professor Bozidar Vukotic at the Junior Royal Academy of Music and the Purcell School for Young Musicians. During this time, he has been invited to perform as a soloist in some of the world's major concert halls such as Carnegie Hall (2017 and 2019), Lincoln Center, Musikverein Vienna, Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall.
Jayden is also the winner of 5 international competitions such as Soloists of New England International Competition, Vienna International Music Competition and The Gustav Mahler International Competition as well as a finalist at the Haslemere International String Competition.
Jayden was awarded the 1st prize for the Piatti Cello Competition at the Royal Academy of Music to celebrate the composer's 200th birthday. He was also the recipient of the ‘Derek Simpson’ award to celebrate cellist Derek Simpson.
He has a love and passion for chamber music and is a member of Westminster Quartet.
Jayden plays and performs on a Joseph Hill cello from 1774 generously loaned by The Royal Academy of Music.
