In 2019 Owen successfully auditioned for the Glyndebourne Academy (2019) under the direction of Mary King where his journey towards a singing career began. Owen has performed regularly with Northern Ireland Opera through his involvement in the chorus of Die Fledermaus (2019) and La Bohème (2021). Owen performed the role of Gastone (September 2022) in Northern Ireland Opera’s La Traviata. Along with performing regularly with local choral societies Owen performs regularly with the Ulster Consort under the direction of Matthew Owens. Owen has competed successfully in singing competitions in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, he won the tenor solo in the Dublin Feis in 2021 and won Northern Ireland Operas Festival of Voice Debra Voigt Opera prize and Audience prize (2022). In the Summer of 2023 Owen joined the Glyndebourne Chorus in the production of the Dialogues des Carmelites, he will join the chorus again for the upcoming 2024 summer season in a number of productions. Owen is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music under Professor Mark Wildman.
